Artistic Approach & Style

Farsam Sangini’s work falls within the realm of contemporary figurative painting, yet with a deeply personal approach influenced by Expressionism, Symbolism, and Surrealist elements. While he employs classical painting and drawing techniques, his compositions and narratives diverge from strict realism, creating a distinctive visual language.

Key Characteristics of Sangini’s Work

1. Structural Approach to the Human Figure
His emphasis on anatomy and the human form is not merely for naturalistic representation but serves to evoke emotions and deeper meanings. Many of his figures are exaggerated or subtly deformed, carrying a strong sense of expression.
2. Ambiguous Spaces Between Reality & Subjectivity
Sangini often utilizes minimalist or abstract backgrounds, drawing focus to the human figures. These empty or undefined spaces create a sense of uncertainty, suspension, or even introspection.
3. Emotional Use of Color & Harmony
Color in his work transcends realism. He employs bold contrasts in some pieces, while in others, he opts for a restrained palette, enhancing the psychological impact. His color choices convey anxiety, introspection, stillness, or melancholy.
4. Expressive Faces & Gestures
The characters in his paintings often appear mysterious, contemplative, or burdened by internal conflict. With piercing gazes, slumped bodies, or an almost dissolving presence, his figures embody a psychological depth that defines much of his work.
5. Social & Personal Critique
Some of his pieces reflect aspects of contemporary society, both aesthetically and conceptually. His work subtly addresses modern existential dilemmas, the tension between the individual and the outside world, and the inner struggles of human existence.

A Multi-Dimensional Perspective
Sangini’s paintings exist in a delicate balance between realism and personal expression. He neither adheres strictly to classical traditions nor completely abandons them. Instead, he constructs an artistic space where human emotions, psychological depth, and the relationship between individuals and their surroundings take center stage.
